Rule #1: Read the nutrition label and avoid anything with sugar as the first few ingredients

Rule #2: Avoid white foods like white bread, pasta, and white potatoes

Rule #3: Eat unprocessed foods that are high in fiber, at least 5 grams of fiber per serving
